課程概述 |
This course introduces students to climate modeling. We will learn to design, perform, and analyze numerical climate experiments with a general circulation model (GCM). |
|
課程目標 |
The course is organized as a weekly hands-on modeling sessions. For example, we will conduct the doubled-CO2 experiment in a GCM. |
|
課程要求 |
This course requires students to visualize their simulation results. So be familiar with GrADS, IDL, Matlab, or NCL will be helpful. Students need to design, perform, and evaluate global climate simulations. Students will produce an original report in the form of a poster that summarizes their model experiment, concept, and results. |
